859,434. Packaging. MINNESOTA MINING & MANUFACTURING CO. March 5, 1957 [March 5, 1956], No. 7349/57. Class 94(1). A polyethylene film or film lined package for substances it is desired to store separately but to mix within the package envelope before discharge has compartments separated by a breakable seam or diaphragm. In one form, the package has a dividing seam 14 made by dealing the sides to an inner strip The strip may be of differing material such as chlorinated rubber, laminea such as of polyethylene 36, 37 with porous tearable material 35 between. It may be simply a polyethylene strip produced by a method different from that by which are produced the package envelope films, the seam between these being weaker than between identical materials. Dissimilar polyethylene laminea may be so used. A three compartment container may be formed by sealing between the films, a tube 75 the material of its wall being readily rupturable. The invention may be used as a containing and mixing means for electrical insulating compositions. |
