PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable portable telephone set in which a receiving part can be turned open through one-touch operation, the receiving part is prevented from becoming unsteady at its open position and the receiving part can be easily turned to its closed position with small force at its closed position side. SOLUTION: First and third housing tube parts 2A and 3A and second and fourth housing tube parts 2B and 3B constituting a pair of each other are formed at an edge part where the transmitting part 2 and the receiving part 3 of this foldable portable telephone set 1 adjoin each other. A first hinge (unillustrated) for turning the receiving part 3 from the closed position to the open position through one-touch operation is housed in the first and third housing tube parts 2A and 3A. A second hinge (unillustrated) for energizing the receiving part 3 in the vicinity of the closed position toward the closed position to maintain the receiving part 3 at the closed position and energizing the receiving part 3 toward the open position in the vicinity of the open position to maintain the receiving part 3 at the open position is housed in the second and fourth housing tube parts 2B and 3B. |
