The osteosynthesis spiral / osteosynthesis spiral system serves to fix bones, bone fragments and an artificial replacement for body parts as well as apparatuses for callus distraction. The invention is based on a spiral, which is of any basic shape (e.g. triangular, T-shaped) and which can be modified by transversal webs. Osteosynthesis spiral(s) and osteosynthesis plate(s) can be joined to a piece with any combination possibility. Combinations possibilities consist of osteosynthesis screens, meshes and apparatuses for callus distraction. The fixation to the bone/artificial body parts is effected by screws or by any item suited for fixing. The invention provides two possibilities for a fixing aid in the form of a special screw or a shim washer. The spiral is advantageous due to the easier three-dimensional modelability and the nearly infinite choice of fixation possibilities, which is beneficial when dealing with comminuted fractures. |
