<p>The fuel rod is temporarily sealed by a membrane covering the inner end of the pressurizing duct through the stopper. The membrane is ruptured by the pressurizing process. The pressurizing duct pref. has a metal filter to prevent contamination of the pressurizing gas. The stopper is pref. welded to the sheath in an atmosphere of the same gas is used for the pressurizing.</p> |
