<p>A method of coating laminar or similar wall components by injection moulding around them is effected by placing component in part mould before injection moulding operation; the mould is then closed and injection moulding takes place. The part-mould is loaded with element in a position away from injection moulding machine, then moved transversely to moulding station, where mould is closed and moulding carried out. Pref. each time a part mould is removed from moulding station, another indentical part mould, already loaded with another element, is brought towards moulding station. Method may be used esp. for coating thin-walled vessels e.g. beakers; beaker shape is first formed from flat sheet on mandrel-forming machine, inserted into a half-mould, transferred to injection statio where other half-mould applied and coating introduced.</p> |
