Rat neurotrophic factor receptor, GFRalpha-4

There is disclosed a novel mammalian receptor protein designated GFRalpha-4 and the nucleic acid sequence encoding therefor. Also provided is an expression vector comprising the nucleic acid sequence and host cells transformed or transfected with the vector. Host cells expressing the receptor may be used to identify agonists or antagonists in relation to the receptor.
