The device has a coil (35) connected between a power network and an earth potential. The coil is wound from a flexible cable (37), where the cable has an outer insulating casing disposed around an inner electrical conductor. An electrically functional module (51) electrically connects a portion of the casing. The portion of the casing is arranged to wind the coil and is connected with an inductance control module. The inductance control module has a voltage modulator. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing an inductive device.
