The method involves providing and perforating a covering (17) to make passages (27), that traverse the covering, along a breaking line (20). The perforated covering and a support (19) are assembled. The passages are inclined with respect to a normal to a directing surface of an outer side of the covering, at a point where the passages open. The covering comprises an intermediate layer which is fixed on a frame. An independent claim is also included for a device of perforating a dashboard of a safety air bag of a motor vehicle and implementing a dashboard manufacturing method.
