A system for detecting gene expression in body fluid comprises at least three polynucleotides wherein each polynucleotide detects expression of a gene by hybridization to the gene. The gene comprises a nucleotide sequence chosen from SEQ ID NO:1-8143 and is differentially expressed in body fluid in a individual with at least one disease criterion for a disease selected from TABLE 1 compared to the expression of the gene in leukocytes in an individual without the disease criterion. Preferably the polynucleotides are immobilized on an array.
