<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing irregularities in an unfixed toner image due to rubbing and jamming of a recording medium while transferring images to both sides of the recording medium, even though a one-pass system is introduced. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding a printer 100 for transferring a 1st toner image on a 1st intermediate transfer belt 21 to the 1st side of the transfer paper, transferring a 2nd toner image on a 2nd intermediate transfer belt to the 2nd side of the transfer paper, then, transferring the toner images to both sides of the transfer paper, the transfer paper carrying the unfixed toner image is directly transported by the 2nd intermediate transfer belt 31 as a 2nd image carrier belt from a 2nd transfer position up to a nip part N as a fixing position, and also, the transfer paper P is continuously transported by the intermediate transfer belt 31 also in the nip part N. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
