PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently decode a received signal even when a wireless tag is used for an interrogation object. SOLUTION: The interrogation unit includes: an antenna 47 for receiving a response signals respectively modulated by target response frequencies fs1, fs2 at a plurality of responders 20 to 23; an A/D converter 70 for digitally converting the received signal; a filter bank 100 separating the digitally converted received signal by each of frequency bands around prescribed reception center frequencies fs1, fs2 corresponding to the target response frequencies and demodulating the separated signals; and a frequency correction section 39 and a multiplier 104 for correcting the separately demodulated received signal in response to the actual response frequencies fs1', fs2' of the received signal and the reception center frequencies fs1, fs2.
