PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device, capable of absorbing vertical impact, and coping with shaking in any direction in simple structure even in a long-span structure such as a bridge. SOLUTION: This base isolation device is provided with an upper member 2 fixed to an upper structure 1, and provided with a concave spherical part, a lower member 4 supported by a foundation member 3, and provided with a concave spherical part, and a rolling member 10 provided between the upper member 2 and the lower member 4, and having vertically symmetric convex spherical parts.
