PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin composition for a column spacer with which the column spacer effectively suppressing the occurrence of inconsistencies in coloring caused by the failure due to gravity is manufactured without producing the foaming at a low temperature, and also provide the column spacer manufactured by using the curable resin composition for the column spacer and a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: The curable resin composition for the column spacer includes a compound having two or more polymerizable unsaturated bonds in the molecule, a compound having a polymerizable unsaturated bond and a polyethylene glycol skeleton, a polymer compound containing an alkali soluble carboxyl group, and a photo-reaction initiator.
