PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for picking up a test-standby electronic device. SOLUTION: Two-stage compression is produced by using two kinds of elastic devices having different elastic coefficients. A test-standby electronic device sucked by the first stage compression is moved to a floating site to fix the position of the electronic device. Here, terminals (pads) of the electronic device are kept in a non-contacting state with a test terminal (pogo pin). This makes it possible to prevent a problem that the terminals of the electronic device making contact with the test terminal break a vacuum in a suction head to cause the electronic device to drop off. Further, when the electronic device is moved to a testing machine, the terminals of the electronic device are brought into contact with a measuring terminal by the second-stage compression to complete a test.
