PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater capable of realistically displaying an artificial combustion state. SOLUTION: This inside of a casing 10 is provided with an image display device capable of displaying a realistic flame picture for imitating the heater 1 after a firewood stove; and has actually a projector 40 provided in a lower part of the casing 10 and capable of ejecting an optical image, a reflecting mirror 41 for reflecting the optical image ejected from the projector 40, and a transmission type screen 42 capable of displaying the optical image reflected by the reflecting mirror 41 on the front side as an image by receiving the optical image on the back face side; and has a window part 44 composed of transparent heat resisting glass between an upper side exhaust port 15a and a lower side exhaust port 15b on a front face of the casing 10.
