PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of a fluid filter simplified in constitution as compared with a conventional one and easy to assemble. SOLUTION: The safety device of the fluid filter has a valve element 40, which has a shaft-like part 41 piercing the valve element support part 23 provided to the upper side end part of an inner cylinder 20 from the lower part of the inner cylinder 20 to the upper part thereof and is provided to the valve element support part 23 to open and close the communication hole 25 communicating with the external region AS of the filter element 10 in a filter case 50 and the internal region IS of the inner cylinder 20 by the slide movement of the shaft-like part 41 with respect to the valve element support part 23, and a spring member 45 for energizing the valve element 40, which is provided between the spring locking part 42 formed to the leading end part of the shaft-like part 41 and the valve element support part 23 in a contracted state to energize the valve element 40 to the closing side of the communication hole 25. When the pressure difference between the pressure of the oil before passed through a filter 35 and the pressure of the oil after passed through a filter 35 reaches a predetermined value, the valve element 40 is moved in the axial direction of the inner cylinder 20 against the energizing force of the spring member 45 to open the communication hole 25.
