PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag apparatus which can absorb not only a falling impact on a human body caused by a direct collision with the ground or a structure but also a falling impact of a bomb on the human body even in the case of the fall from a height. SOLUTION: Since the air bag 1 comprises a first air bag section 1a to cover the head side of the human body A, a second air bag section 1b to cover an upper end side of the bomb 10, a third air bag section 1c to cover a lower end side of the bomb 10 and a fourth air bag section 1d to cover the waist side of the human body A, it can absorb not only the falling impact on the human body A by the direct collision with the ground or the structure but also the falling impact of the bomb 10 on the human body A even in the case of the fall from the height so that a worker who works on the height carrying the bomb 10 on the back can be efficiently protected from an accident of the fall.
