A structured sheet (1) welded to another component (3) has a tendency to break or to the creation of unwanted noise in the contact areas in particular when put under a mechanical or thermal stress. When using the new method the two parts (1, 3) to be joined are positioned on top of each other with some indents (4) touching the opposite object (3). A die (5) or other device is pushed against an elevated area (2) resulting in the creation of counter indents (6). The welding spots are positioned in the newly created depressions (6).
