<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image formation corresponding to a change when information related to a process cartridge is changed after the end of manufacturing. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus acquires PCU information (S101), communicates with a management system through a public line or a LAN and transmits the PCU information to the management system (S102). The management system receives the PCU information transmitted from the image forming apparatus, stores the contents of the PCU information (S201) and retrieves information on cartridge ID included in the PCU information received from a PCU management database (S202). Whether process controller correction data for the retrieved PCU are present or not is checked (S203), and when there are correction data which are not transmitted yet, the process controller correction data are transmitted to the image forming apparatus (S204) and the transmission of the process controller correction data of the retrieved cartridge ID is recorded in the communication history of the PCU management database with the management system (S205). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
