<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laser beam machining apparatus and a laser beam machining method by which a prescribed machining shape is left as it is while keeping the quality of machining even in the case the focus is adjusted by moving a beam shaping mask in accordance with the height of a work in this image transfer type laser beam machining apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a laser beam oscillator 1 for radiating a laser beam, an aperture consisting of an iris diaphragm 2 with which the laser beam radiated from the laser beam oscillator 1 is passed through only the range of a specified open aperture and the open aperture is changed large and small and an adjusting means 12, an image forming lens 4 for forming the image of the laser beam passed through the aperture and a moving means 7 for changing a physical distance to the image forming lens 4 of the aperture to the advancing direction of the laser beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
