A plastic-metal composite pipe (1) consists of at least one plastic inner pipe (2) and a metallic envelope (3) surrounding it. The inner peripheral surface (6) of the metallic envelope is fixed to the outer surface of the plastic inner pipe, and the envelope consists of a metal strip. Opposing edges of the strip are arranged so the metallic envelope is double layered over the entire periphery. A thermo-setting bonding agent or adhesive is used to join the inner pipe and the metal. The arrangement used to produce the pipe consists of an unwinding unit (11) from which the inner pipe is drawn off, a second unwinding unit for the metal strip, and a forming unit. |
