<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal unit and a portable terminal control method for appropriately receiving data from service for performing the broadcasting distribution of a large-capacity content including a voice and an image to a plurality of portable terminal units. <P>SOLUTION: It is monitored whether header numbers added to data transmitted from an RLC 15 are continuous after decoding processing. It is detected that the header numbers are not defective as the result of monitoring for a prescribed time. It is determined from which base station data are received by each finger from the timing of a multipath detected by correlating the detection result and a reception signal to the diffusion code of a pilot signal, thus reducing power consumed for processing by the inverse diffusion of data, RAKE reception, and stopping decoding processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
