<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set use rights of each user even when the user uses multiple network apparatuses, in a network system equipped with network apparatuses and an authentication device. <P>SOLUTION: An authentication server 200 is provided with: a user information storage part 201 for storing identification information of each user and information of a group to which the user belongs; and a group determination part 203 for transmitting, to an MFP 100, information indicating the group to which the user related to the identification information belongs when the identification information of the user is received from the MFP 100. The MFP 100 is provided with: a right information storage part 121 for storing information indicative of the use rights of its own function on a group basis; and a right determination part 122 for transmitting the identification information of the user intending to use it to the authentication server 200 to receive the information of the group to which the user belongs from the authentication server 200 and for determining whether the use right of the user intending to use it is present, on the basis of the information of the group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
