<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To device a shape and a structure of a toner replenishing vessel (powder container), a cleaning method thereof, and a cleaning apparatus thereof, so that a cleaning medium can be spread throughout the inside of the toner replenishing vessel regardless of the shape of the toner replenishing vessel, so that dirt stuck to its inside surface is surely cleaned and many toner replenishing vessels can be cleaned in a short period of time by continuously cleaning them. <P>SOLUTION: In the cleaning method of a powder container 10, a powdery cleaning medium 1 having a property to adsorb powder is thrown into the powder container 10 having a first opening part 11 and at least one second opening part 12 facing the first opening part 11 in the front and the rear respectively, so as to be brought into contact with remaining powder stuck to the inside of the powdery container 10 to remove the remaining powder, wherein the cleaning medium 1 is made to flow down from a position higher than the first opening part 11 of the powder container 10 toward the first opening part 11 to clean the inside of the powder container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
