<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic container with improved convenience, compared with conventional screw-engagement, with a cap capable of preventing leakage of the content and easily opening and securely closing the container. <P>SOLUTION: The cosmetic container 10 comprises a container body 20 for storing a cosmetic material and the cap 30. The cap 30 includes a cap body 40, an outer barrel 50 and an inner barrel 60. A first spring 31 for energizing the outer barrel 50 rearward is interposed between the cap body 40 and the outer barrel 50, and a second spring 32 for energizing the cap body 40 forward is stored inside the inner barrel 60. A shaft part 61 with an application part 62 is formed to project in the inner barrel 60, and an engagement groove 23 is provided on the outer surface near the end of the container body 20. A locking ball storage hole 43 and a locking ball 45 to be stored in the storage hole are provided in the cap body 40. A restraining projection 51 for restraining the outward movement of the locking ball 45 is provided on the inner side of the outer barrel 50.
