<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for allowing returned result values to be requestable on a field basis in a get_Data operation modified to provide a personalized service, and for thereby returning a client's desired metadata selectively. <P>SOLUTION: A method of providing a table field element by using a get_Data operation in a TV-Anytime metadata service is provided, the method comprising steps of: (a) adding a requested field type capable of designating a field of metadata table to a query result value type in the get_Data operation; (b) receiving a request message of the get_Data operation; and (c) extracting, when the request message includes the requested field type, a query result value corresponding to the designated table field in the requested field type, and transmitting the query result value using a response message of the get_Data operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
