PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type rotation motor of which the manufacturing of a stator core is easy. SOLUTION: The least common multiple LCM (P, N) between the number of P of rotor magnetic poles and the number N of slots is different from the LCM (P/2, N) between a half of P and N, and an exciting coil is wound on each of N pieces of stator magnetic poles so that the phase of a current is dislocated at 120°to be lined up in the circumferential direction. A stator core 2 is constituted of N/2 pieces of split cores 13A-13K belonging to a first split core groove, and N/2 pieces of split cores 13B-13L belonging to a second split core group. The split cores belonging to the first split core group and those belonging to the second split core group arranged on both sides of one of slots 9A-9L are so formed that the cross sectional shape in the direction orthogonal to the axial line penetrating the center of a rotor 3 is line-symmetric with respect to an imaginary line PL which penetrates the center of openings 9a and 9b of the slot and the axial line of the rotor 3.
