PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supervisory camera apparatus to which a tilt angle in the case of inverting an imaged image corresponding to an inclination of an installed face can optionally be set. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 8 compares a tilt angle detected when a user operates a remote controller 9 to tilt a supervisory camera 2 with an inverted tilt angle that is selected and set. When the microcomputer 8 discriminates through the comparison that the detected tilt angle is the set inverted tilt angle or over, the microcomputer 8 outputs an image inversion processing signal to an image processing chip 6. The image processing chip 6 changes how to read an image signal from an image memory 7 on the basis of the image inversion processing signal and displays the imaged image on a monitor by vertically and horizontally inverting the image. When the supervisory camera 2 is turned and the tilt angle reaches an angle less than the inverted tilt angle, the image processing chip 6 displays the imaged image on the monitor without vertical and horizontal inversion.
