PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input support device improving operability of character input. SOLUTION: This character input support device for supporting input of a fixed character pattern corresponding to a key input character designated by key input comprises: a recording means 2 recording the correspondence of the key input character to the character pattern; an input support starting means 1 starting the input support of the character pattern; and a character addition means 3 specifying a character pattern following a key input character input before starting the input support in reference to the correspondence, and adding the specified character pattern to the key input character to generate repeated characters.
