PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color diffusion transfer film unit comprising a thin film unit, exhibiting rapid progress of transfer and low in the concentration of an unexposed part. SOLUTION: The diffusion transfer film unit comprises a photosensitive sheet (1) provided with a silver halide emulsion layer formed by combining an image receiving layer, a white light diffusion layer and a dyestuff image forming material on the side surface of a transparent cover sheet of a transparent supporting body, the transparent cover sheet (2) provided with a neutralization layer and a neutralization timing layer on the side surface of the photosensitive sheet of another transparent supporting body and an alkali treatment composition (3) spread between the photosensitive sheet and the transparent cover sheet and containing carbon black and is formed so as to arrange (1)-(3) to be exposed through the transparent cover sheet. A silver halide emulsion and a non-photosensitive silver precipitation nucleus are contained between a white light diffusion layer and a light shielding layer in the photosensitive sheet and a silver halide solvent is contained in the alkali treatment composition.
