PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material having an excellent coating face and high picture quality, and to provide an image forming method. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material, at least either face of a support is provided with an image forming layer at least comprising photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, and a binder, and a non-photosensitive layer, and an image forming method using the same, (1) the image forming layer comprises a stock useful for photography, and (2) the stock useful for photography is solid particulates dispersed by at least one kind of dispersant selected from polyacrylamide and the derivatives thereof.
