PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a capacity sufficient to surely store the water overflowing from a water supply vessel. SOLUTION: In this humidifier comprising a water tank 2 detachable from a humidifier main body 1, and a steam generating means 3 mounted on the humidifier main body 1, to which water W is supplied from the water tank 2, and releasing the steam S generated from the steam generating means 3 to the external to humidify rooms, the humidifier main body 1 is provided with the water supply vessel 8 positioned at a lower part of the water tank 2, a water flow passage 10 formed from the water supply vessel 8 to the steam generating means 3, and a water storing vessel 11 positioned around the water supply vessel 8 for storing the water overflowing from the water supply vessel 8, and the water W overflowing from the water supply vessel 8 is stored in the water storing vessel 11, even when a phenomenon that the excess water W is supplied from the water tank 2 to the water supply vessel 8, occurs.
