PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the working efficiency of a shaft member when mounted, while preventing the falling of a bearing member pushed out during work. SOLUTION: In the mounting and supporting structure for the shaft member 5, the shaft member 5 is inserted through a insertion portion 3 provided at one end of a case 2 into a supporting portion 4 provided at the other end of the case 2 and supported via the bearing member 9 by the supporting portion 4. The supporting portion 4 is provided with an insertion-through portion 8 through which the bearing member 9 is inserted and a contact preventing portion 10 for preventing the contact of the side end of the shaft member 5 with the side end of the bearing member 9 when inserting the shaft member 5 into the supporting portion 4.
