<p>The unit for assisting a person in entering a bathing tub is assembled of a rectangular base (1), a seat (5), two folding legs (3), and a folding backrest (2) moved by an electrically driven mechanism (8, 12). A toothed rack (16) is positioned with its lower end (6) in a sleeve (7) fixed to the base (1) and guided through the backrest (2) with its upper end. A driven pinion (10) meshes with a large toothed wheel (9) coaxial joined to a second pinion meshing with several transmission gears (20, 23). Every second of the gears (20, 23) engages with the toothed rack (16).</p> |
