<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid absorbing member which surely absorbs only a liquid component in an unfixed ink image even in the use of a recording medium hardly absorbing ink etc., and which can obtain a high-quality image without causing deterioration in image quality, the crushing of the image, etc., and an inkjet recording apparatus which is equipped with the liquid absorbing member. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid absorbing member is used for absorbing an excessive ink component from the ink image which is formed on the recording medium by an inkjet recording system.
