<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter capable of suppressing the deterioration of contrast in the color filter manufactured by an ink-jet method or the color filter whose color filter part has a curved shape. <P>SOLUTION: In the color filter 12, the color filter part 31 is formed by curing liquid material applied between both black matrices 34 opposing to each other on a glass substrate 11 by an ink-jet method. When the position where a line passing through the inner wall surface of a black matrix 34 and vertical to the surface of the glass substrate 11 intersects the outer surface of the color filter part 31 is made an outer edge position, the width entering by 1μm in the opposition direction between the both black matrices 34 in parallel to the surface of the glass substrate 11 from this position is made (a), the height of the color filter part in the direction vertical to the surface of the glass substrate 11, reaching the outer surface of the color filter part 31 from the inner edge position of the width (a) is made (b), and the inclination angle of the hypotenuse of a right triangle of the height (b) having the width (a) as the base is made (c), the inclination angle (c) is 11° or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
