<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for avoiding data loss that does not require a time-consuming processing and system resetting by recovering HFN synchronization between a transmitting station and a receiving station. <P>SOLUTION: When an enciphering session is started in a synchronization recovering method, the initial-stage HFN is introduced, and the asynchronization of the HFN is detected between a plurality of communication stations in a radio communication system during the enciphering session. Then the present HFN in one communication station is adjusted in the radio communications system, the adjusted HFN is derived, and the adjusted HFN is adopted, and then used for post-processing in the enciphering session. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
