PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery storing device capable of securing contact force between a battery and a battery contact piece. SOLUTION: On a battery storing chamber installed on an electronic device like a digital camera comprising an opening for detachment freely storing batteries in the battery storing chamber, a lid freely closing the opening, a battery contact piece for electrically connecting with the batteries at the inside of the battery storing chamber, and a lock member preventing fall-off of the batteries when the lid is opened for storing of the batteries, a member for energizing the batteries is arranged at the neighborhood of a face opposing the battery contact piece of the lid. It is preferable that an energizing direction coincides with that of making the battery protrude out from the battery storing chamber, and the battery contact piece is arranged so as to off-center from an insertion direction. Further, it is preferable to arrange the lock member at an opposite side of the battery contact piece with a central axis in an insertion direction interposed between them.
