PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable continuous network transmission of a plurality of images in a memory. SOLUTION: In control of an image pickup device having a memory for recording a plurality of images acquired by picking up an object and a communication unit for transmitting data to a transmission destination on a network, in network transfer setting in steps S301-S306, it is set whether or not the data should be transmitted for each of the plurality of images recorded in the memory, irrespective of whether or not the communication unit is connected to the network.
