PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply to a distributed image the processing preventing the image quality between an image printed by using the distributed image and an image directly printed by using the stored image in the copying machine from being differentiated in a multi-functional color copying machine or the like including a distribution function of a stored image. SOLUTION: Stored image data pass through a data form converter 10 via a distribution processing path, and the converter 10 applies gamma conversion 107 and binary medium tone processing 108 in conformance with image processing carried out in the copying machine for its direct print to the image data. When the medium tone processing carried out in the copying machine for the direct print employs multi-value error spread, the converter 10 uses binary error spread for the distributed medium tone processing 108 so that the converter 10 can bring the image quality of an image directly outputted from the copying machine nearer to the image quality of an image distributed from the copying machine to an external PC and printed by a printer and can allow a compressor 109 to apply TIFF compression with a general-purpose format to the image data through the adoption of the binary error spread.
