PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrugated fiberboard box capable of protecting a commodity from damages by a cutter or the like when the box is unsealed. SOLUTION: In the corrugated fiberboard box to be closed with a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape by overlapping lid plates connected to upper edges of a pair of side plates on lid flaps connected to upper edges of a pair of end face plates, an oblique fold starting from an upper end edge is provided on at least one of the lid flaps, a protective plate is provided on the starting point side of the oblique fold across the oblique fold line. When the lid is closed while the protective plate is folded along the oblique fold, a space between the upper end edges of the lid flaps facing each other is closed, and a commodity is protected from damages even when a blade tip of a cutter or the like passes through the space between the upper end edges of the lid flaps when the box is unsealed.
