PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To melt snow on a tiled roof over a large area by less quantity of hot water by spraying the hot water on the roof for each area matching the available quantity of hot water. SOLUTION: A downflow regulating performance and a nonslip performance are provided to the surfaces of the roof elements of the tiled roof. The tiled roof is divided into a plurality of upper and lower blocks 1, and water spray means 2 are installed on the blocks. A spraying operation is performed for each block by sequentially passing water through the water spray means 2. A spraying time is set for each block by an output time variable timer. After the first timer expires, a subsequent timer starts and operates the water supply means. The timers expires in order and operates the water supply means to open and close their respective opening/closing valves in order so as to spray the water starting at a lower stage water spray header to an upper stage water spray header. The water spray can be repeatedly performed from the water spray means according to a residual snow state by reset means which, after all the timers expire, reset all the timers and operate the timers again starting from the initial timer in order.
