The circular cover (1) protects the brake disk (2) from moisture and dirt and is joined with screws (4) to the wheel carrier. Several openings (6) are arranged in a curve in an area of the cover (1) less affected by pressure than the area facing the disk (2) resulting in a suction force moving air out from behind the cover (1). Fresh air is guided through the gap between the cover (1) and the disk (2). The openings (6) are designed as slots with cut out triangular segments bent in order to form triangular projections (12) preventing the disk (2) from dirt and moisture invading through the slots (6).
