<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an aurally handicapped person or an old person to be aware of urgent notification without a delay. <P>SOLUTION: In a transmission/reception system provided with a sending device and a receiving device, the sending device is provided with an attention calling information storing unit for storing attention calling information concerning a screen for calling a viewer's attention, an output information storing unit for storing output information outputted from a receiving device, and a sending unit for outputting the attention calling information and the output information. The receiving device is a transmission/reception system provided with a receiving unit for receiving the attention calling information and the output information, and a display unit for displaying the attention calling information and the output information received by the receiving unit.
