PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a globular cyclodextrin polymer easily handled, endurable to be continuously operated in a column, and industrially usable, and to provide the globular cyclodextrin polymer obtained by the method, and to provide an adsorbent containing the same. SOLUTION: This method for producing the globular cyclodextrin polymer includes a process for mixing (1) a cyclodextrin polymer obtained by reacting cyclodextrin with a diisocyanate compound with (2) an aqueous solution of a polysaccharide carboxylic acid salt and a process for dropping (3) a mixed liquid obtained by the mixing process into an aqueous solution of an alkaline earth metal halide salt.
