PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine for preventing or treating diseases caused by cytokine abnormal production or advance of adhesion. SOLUTION: The medicine comprises 6-[2-(3,4-diethoxyphenyl)thiazol-4-yl]pyridine-2-carboxylic acid or its salt. The diseases caused by cytokine abnormal production or advance of adhesion include uveitis, endotoxin shock, ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrom), burn, acute stage of viral myocarditis, idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy, transition from SIRS (systemic inflammatory response syndrome) to failing organs, multiple organ failure, hypergammaglobulinemia, SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus), multiple sclerosis, metastasis control, monoclonal B cell abnormality, polyclonal B cell abnormality, atrial myxoma, Castleman's disease syndrome, primary glomerulus nephritis, mesangial nephritis, cancer cachexie, Lennert's lymphoma, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, Kaposi sarcoma of AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome), osteoporosis after menopause, septicemia and hepatitis.
