PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device enabling a user to easily perform operation input in a print-processing when print-processing according to image data stored in a medium used for the processing in advance, and a control method for the same. SOLUTION: Every time when a medium 2 is inserted in a medium processing section 10, an identification-information acquisition section 12 acquires identification information 20 given to the medium 2 in advance. When the print-processing is performed in an image formation section 17, processing contents are related to the identification information 20 and stored in a processing-contents storing section 16. When the medium 2 is inserted in the medium processing section 10, an image formation controlling section 13 searches the processing contents corresponding to the identification information 20 of the medium 2 in the processing-contents storing section 16, and sets conditions for the print processing corresponding to the processing contents when the processing contents corresponding to the identification information 20 are found.
