An image pickup apparatus capable of selectively recording images picked up by the apparatus itself or by another apparatus. Images picked up by the other digital video camera are received via a radio communication module (120) in addition to images picked up by a camera block (10), and these images are selectively recorded on the magnetic tape of a video cassette (111). Moreover, images picked up by the image pickup apparatus are radio transmitted by the radio communication module (120) to the other digital video camera. A control part (60) functions to combine the images picked up by the image pickup apparatus with those received from the other apparatus to concurrently display such combined images on an LCD (80). The data of images selected by use of a touch panel (90) are recorded on the magnetic tape. |
