<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge including a developing device which is common to respective colors before being loaded in an image forming apparatus, the process cartridge being provided with a shutter means of blocking an opening part of the developing device to prevent toner from scattering when toner is supplied or when a developer is supplied after the process cartridge is loaded in the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is the developing device used for the process cartridge such that the developing device common to the respective colors is charged with only a carrier before the process cartridge is loaded in the image forming apparatus or toner of one of the plurality of colors is supplied into the developing device after the process cartridge is loaded in the image forming apparatus, the developing device being equipped with a movable shutter means for blocking the opening part of the developing device opposed to a latent image carrier of a developer carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
