<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the deterioration of a developer. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus, which has an image carrier carrying an electrostatically charged latent image and a developer carrier carrying a developer and makes the electrostatically charged latent image into a toner image, has a developer supply member which supplies the developer to the developer carrier; a developer scraping member which is disposed downstream from the position where the latent image carrier and developer carrier are opposed to each other in the rotating direction of the developer carrier, and a control means which stops supplying the developer to the developer carrier by the developer supply member a specified time after development processing for making the electrostatically charged latent image into the toner image is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
